Lindsey Vonn - Training Day
Family Skiing went to see one of the US Ski Team training days to bring you the highlight of Lindsey Vonn - US Ski Team training in Hochgurgl in Austria, January 2012.
Lindsey Vonn trains in Obergurgl and Hochgurgl which is the Official European Training Home Base of the Women’s US Ski Team.
The training day started early in the morning and finishes at around lunch time.
The training consisted of two sessions with two different training courses to practice. Lindsey Vonn trains with a camera and timing assistance to monitor the progress of each run.
Linsey Vonn uses two pair of boots and skies with the assistence of a Head serviceman who makes changes to the equipment during the training sessions as needed.
The training skies were 191cm, 105/69/90 radius 27.8m.
Resi Stiegler - Training Day
Resi Stiegler - B Team - US Ski Team training is a bit different from A Team.
Resi Stiegler trains on the same slope as Lindsey Vonn but different days. Resi Stiegler has her own coach but a different one from Lindsey Vonn.
And it is only the coach and a radio communication person who is present during the training. There is no timing nor any serious camera assistance during the training just a small coach video camera.
